The cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof material has been officially put into use in China for more than ten years. Due to the complexity of the import channels of product masterbatch and the high price of the product market, manufacturers tend to consciously focus the key objectives of product market development on large-scale municipal projects, such as subway, tunnel, culvert, reservoir, etc. with the annual decline of the price of imported raw materials for such products, the balance of manufacturers' mentality in chasing product profits, the implementation of national standards and the understanding and support of the design department, the application scope of cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof materials has become more and more extensive.

First, the application in underground civil air defense engineering.

This is the basic and strong application scope of cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof materials, which are mainly used in the internal and external waterproof works of underground side walls, the waterproof works of underground floor and roof, and the leakage stoppage construction of various underground works.

Secondly, the application in road and Bridge Engineering:

Most of the road and bridge projects are municipal projects, but most of the pavement and bridge sections are not underground projects. In the past, cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof materials were hardly used. However, in recent years, with the continuous deepening of people's understanding of products, products have been gradually applied to this field, such as Beijing, Henan, Zhejiang and other places.

This kind of material is used in road and bridge engineering. We suggest that it should be mainly used in the connection and reinforcement of pavement construction joints, the waterproof and anti-corrosion coating of pier concrete base, and the anti-corrosion and waterproof treatment of welding joints. It is not advocated to use it as the only material for pavement and bridge deck.

Secondly, the application in building exterior wall:

At present, there are many waterproof coatings used for building exterior walls, but there are many problems. The putty shall be applied and leveled first. If it is not uniform and meticulous, it will affect the painting of the paint, and there are many shelling and cracking phenomena. Of course, the waterproof effect will also be affected. If the construction cannot be carried out in rainy weather, the overall construction period will be affected.

We suggest that cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof materials can be used in the waterproof works of building exterior walls. During construction, first wet the concrete base surface of the external wall of the building, then dilute the material with water, and brush it with a brush. The material water ratio is reduced by about 25% compared with the underground waterproof construction. If the general material water ratio is 4:1 (or 3.5:1), the material water ratio for the external wall of the building can be 3:1 (or 2.5:1). According to different base surfaces and construction site conditions, the material water ratio can be slightly adjusted, which generally does not affect the waterproof effect. The finished foundation surface shall be maintained by spraying water for 1-2 days. Compared with the common exterior wall coatings, the cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof material coating has strong compatibility with the base surface and does not crack. With the help of the principle of permeable crystallization, the waterproof effect is excellent.

Secondly, the application in kitchen and bathroom waterproof Engineering:

At present, JS composite waterproof coating, polyurethane waterproof coating and modified asphalt based waterproof coating are mostly used in the waterproof construction of kitchen, toilet and other buildings. With the continuous deepening of people's understanding of permeable crystalline waterproof materials, people will feel and experience the advantages of such materials in kitchen and bathroom waterproof engineering. Up to now, many large and medium-sized cities have used such materials in their civil building kitchen and toilet projects, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang and other places.

In the construction process of kitchen and toilet waterproof engineering, attention should be paid to the reasonable treatment of the contact joint between the embedded pipe and the concrete foundation surface. We have three suggestions: first, the treatment of pipe joints shall be carried out according to the construction method of plugging, and the V-shaped groove shall be chiseled for plugging, and then the waterproof coating shall be applied; Second, the waterproof coating is also made along the side wall for 20~30cm to ensure no leakage from the corner; Third, if conditions permit, waterproof coating shall also be applied to the top plate to avoid leakage and dripping of water from the upper layer.

Secondly, the application in roof maintenance;

For a long time, cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof material has been rejected in large-area roof waterproof engineering for only one reason. It is a rigid waterproof material. Once the structure cracks, the waterproof coating will lose its effect. It should be said that this rejection is reasonable, but if we discuss it in depth, people will doubt all waterproof materials, because waterproof materials are used to waterproof, not to prevent structural cracking. Even if flexible waterproof materials are pulled and deformed, no one can guarantee whether they still have waterproof effect. Therefore, while we rationally reject the use of cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof materials in large-area roof waterproof engineering, we should also consider its other functions in roof engineering.

In terms of roof waterproof engineering, we suggest three points: first, such materials can be used for flat and sloping roofs of small buildings. If conditions permit, the waterproof coating can be applied before laying colored asphalt felt tiles to make two layers of waterproof, so as to ensure safety. Second, such materials can be used in roof maintenance projects, such as the maintenance of construction joints and settlement joints, leakage of small-area roof, etc., which have quick effect and good effect, so we might as well try. Third, when the large-area roof project is to carry out three or even more waterproof works of rigid, flexible and thermal insulation, the cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof material can be used as the first rigid waterproof. The design scheme can refer to the design atlas of the multi-channel waterproof works of the division of relevant plates and the combination of rigid and flexible.

The application of cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof materials is certainly far from limited to the above aspects. Other areas, such as national grain depots, military tunnels, sewage treatment, dam maintenance, urban water pipe repair, etc., have their own applications. It is believed that after several years, with the stable and reasonable market price of the product, its application will be more extensive.
